NutriChem's Ferrotrate is an iron supplement formulated for maximum absorption. Iron is one of the most difficult minerals to absorb. In fact, when unabsorbed iron is eliminated through the colon, symptoms such as gas and constipation may occur. This is why Ferrotrate stands out, with virtually no side effects. Ferrotrate is encapsulated with vitamin C to aid iron absorption. The resulting product is an effective, easily absorbed mineral, useful for maintenance of iron status in the body.

I was taking it for hair growth, but I keep getting bruises like I was low on Iron. I've stopped taking it.
Low star because it didn't work for me but the packaging and pills are great.

We don't strictly recommend the Ferrotrate product specifically for hair growth, since Iron supplements should be taken only when you are certain you have low iron levels. While hair loss/issues and bruising can be a symptom of low iron, the only way to know for sure is to have testing done by your health care practitioner. If your iron is low, it can take several weeks or months of supplementation to correct, depending on your levels. We see that you purchased this product about three weeks ago, which would not be enough time to notice a difference in your hair. We recommend visiting your doctor to determine the root cause of your hair growth problem.
