Today, June 17th, is "National Eat Your Veggies Day." Some people have a hard time getting in enough vegetables throughout the day, so our fabulous Registered Holistic Nutritionist Laura thought she'd make a delicious dip for them to make plain old vegetables more fun! This Spicy Black Bean Veggie Dip has the healthy fat and protein to help fill you up, none of the added sugars, preservatives or colours that store-bought dips can have, and a taste that keeps you coming back for more.
And yes, in case you were wondering, this dip would also be delicious with dehydrated vegetable chips, crackers, or the (healthy!) chips of your choice!
Ingredients
1 can organic black beans (BPA free)
1 (or ½) jalapeño pepper, de-seeded
¼ cup avocado oil
¼ cup fresh cilantro
2 tbsp tamari
½ tsp cumin powder
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a food processor until smoothly combined. Serve with an array of chopped veggies!
Enjoy!
