Recipe: Walnut Bliss Balls

Dates are a great way to naturally sweeten snacks or desserts as they are packed with fibre and add a creamy caramel flavour. When coming up with snack recipes I always make sure they are balanced with protein, fat and fibre to keep energy levels stable and to help feel full. I love to make up a batch of these super easy bliss balls to get through the week! Whether you pack them in your lunch as an easy snack or keep them in fridge to have while you're making dinner, you'll be happy you have them on hand!

What You'll Need

  • 1 Cup walnuts

  • 6 Dates soaked 6-8 hours
  • 1⁄4 Cup chia seeds
  • 4Tbsp coconut oil
  •
2 Tbsp cacao powder

  • 1⁄4 Tsp cinnamon
  • 1⁄4 Tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Pinch of Himalayan salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into food processor, and process into a smooth dough (depending on how you like the texture).
  2. Roll into even bite sized balls and store in fridge for 5 days or freezer for 2 months.
