Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) is used in Herbal Medicine to relieve the pain associated with menstruation. Dong Quai serves to treat a range of gynecological problems, such as the symptoms of menopause, menstrual cramps, irregular menstrual periods, delayed menstrual flow, and the feelings of physical weakness attendant on menstruation.
Medicinal Ingredients: per 1 ml:
Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis, root) |
250 mg QCE (1:4) |
St. Francis Dong Quai roots are Certified Organically Grown.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Distilled water, Grain alcohol.
Adults: Take 0.7 ml (21 drops) 3 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. If the minimum dose is well tolerated and if symptoms have not improved, increase the dose to 1.8 ml (54 drops) three times per day. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 months.
Caution: Consult a health care practitioner before use: if you are taking birth control pills, blood thinners, or hormone replacement therapy, or if you have a family history of cancer. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light (UV) or UV therapy. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have diarrhea or hemorrhagic diseases, if you have hypermenorrhea/profuse menstrual flow/heavy periods, or if you have allergy/hypersensitivity to members of the Apiaceae/Umbelliferae family (anise, caraway, carrot, celery, dill, parsley). Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner: if menstruation is delayed or absent, or if you experience increased menstrual bleeding time; if you experience breast pain or breast discomfort and/or tenderness.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
