Methyl Masters

Methyl Masters is a highly absorbable form of B12 and folic acid. To utilize certain vitamins, our bodies need to attach a molecule to them. This molecule is called a methyl group. With Methyl Masters, the methyl group is already attached to the B12 and folic acid making it more absorbable and ready to use by the body. Who benefits from taking Methyl Masters? The enzyme called methyltetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) converts homocysteine (a potentially toxic amino acid) to methionine (a useful and necessary amino acid) with the help of folate and vitamin B12. In certain individuals, the enzyme does not work efficiently and higher than normal amounts of folate and vitamin B12 are used up in the process. Approximately 55% of the population carries one or more variants of the MTHFR gene.
