D3 1000 Chewable is a chewable, natural blackcurrant flavoured vitamin D supplement that contains 1000 IU of vitamin D3 per tablet. This vitamin helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, the absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, and prevents vitamin D deficiency. Osteoporosis Canada's guideline statements recommend a daily vitamin D intake of 400-1000 IU for low-risk adults under 50 years of age and 800-2000 IU for high-risk and older adults. Intakes of 700-800 IU a day are associated with a decreased risk of bone fracture.

Medicinal Ingredients: each chewable tablet contains:

Vitamin D (cholecalciferol)

25 mcg/1000 IU

Non-medicinal ingredients: Sorbitol, xylitol, natural blackcurrant flavour, silica, magnesium stearate.

Wheat, yeast, gluten, artificial colours or flavourings, antimicrobial preservatives, or dairy products. Ideal for vegetarians.

Adults and children (4 years and older): Chew one tablet daily, or as recommended by your health care practitioner.
