Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a bitter to aid digestion, or to help alleviate infectious and inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract such as gastritis, or to help relieve digestive disturbances such as dyspepsia. It is also used to treat colds and upper respiratory tract infections, nasal congestion, inflammation of vaginal and urethral mucous membranes, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Medicinal Ingredients: per 1 ml:
Goldenseal root and rhizome(Hydrastis canadensis) |
200 mg QCE (1:5) |
St. Francis Goldenseal roots and rhizomes are Certified Organically Grown.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Distilled water, Grain alcohol.
All doses should be taken 3 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.
Adults: Take 1-1.6 ml (30-48 drops) 3 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. May take up to one week to produce beneficial effects.
Caution: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen and before use if you have blood pressure problems or you have a kidney disorder. Consumption of Goldenseal with alcohol or other medications and/or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
