HMF Forte is a moderate-level, long-term maintenance probiotic formula which provides two strains of proprietary human-sourced Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, along with fructooligosaccharides (FOS). Stress, antibiotic medication, processed foods, environmental contaminants and lifestyle may be contributing factors which upset the delicate balance of the intestinal flora. Imbalances of friendly bacteria can contribute to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The HMF products are powerful probiotics for relief of intestinal health problems. These Human Micro Flora (HMF) are human derived strains which adhere better to the human gastrointestinal tract and work faster than other non-human derived probiotics such as those grown from dairy or animal strains. This product is ideal for vegans.

Medicinal Ingredients: Each vegetarian capsule contains:

Probiotic Consortium: 10 billion CFU

  • Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60)
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-21)
  • Bifdobacterium bifdum (CUL-20)
  • Bifdobacterium animalis subs. lactis (CUL-34)

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Cellulose, Fructooligosaccharides (FOS), hypromellose, silica, magnesium stearate.

Wheat, starch, gluten, soy, artificial colouring and flavouring, antimicrobial preservatives, dairy and animal products. Ideal for vegans.

Adults & Children (6 years and older): Take one capsule two times daily with meals, at least two to three hours before or after taking antibiotics, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner.

Caution: If you have an immune-compromised condition, do not use. If you are experiencing nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain, consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use. If symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond three days, discontinue use and consult your healthcare practitioner.

I’ve taken these before but for some reason I’m experiencing alot of stomach discomfort this time and I was only taking one a day rather than 2. I tried reducing it to one every other day and although it was a bit better it still persisted.
