Scullcap is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a sedative to help relieve nervousness and anxiety, as a sleep aid for insomnia, for ischemic stroke, paralysis caused by stroke, and as an antispasmodic to help relieve the pain associated with menstruation.
Medicinal Ingredients: per 1 ml:
Scullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora, flowering tops) |
1000 mg QCE fresh (1:1) OR 250 mg QCE dry (1:4) |
St. Francis Scullcap flowering tops are Certified Organically Grown.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Distilled water, Grain alcohol.
Adults: Take 1-2 ml (30-60 drops) 3 times daily or as needed in a little water on an empty stomach. May also be taken as a one-time 3-6 ml (90-180 drops) daily dose in a little water at bedtime.
Caution: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consumption with alcohol or other sedatives is not recommended. Consult a health care practitioner: if symptoms worsen or persist; if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than three weeks. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle, or involved in activities requiring mental alertness.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
