As an antioxidant and essential trace mineral selenium has many functions in the body. Its primary function is to protect cells (along with vitamin E) from damaging free radicals. Selenium is also needed for normal growth, fertility and detoxification. Natural Factors Selenium oxide is a 50 mcg moderate potency, chelated for optimal absorption and assimilation.
EACH TABLET CONTAINS: Elemental Selenium (Selenium HVP Chelate) 50 mcg. Hydrolyzed vegetable protein (sourced from rice). Non-medicinal ingredients: Calcium phosphate, Microcrystalline cellulose, Vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).
