Vitamin C is best known for its importance to the human immune system, a complex system which distinguishes what is safe for our bodies from what is not. Vitamin C stimulates production of special white blood cells which are capable of "eating" bacteria, viruses, and other foreign "invaders". Vitamin C functions as an antioxidant, a substance that is able to neutralize unstable molecules capable of cellular damage. This provides us with some protection against water-soluble chemicals in the air we breathe and food we eat. In addition, vitamin C had shown effectiveness as an anti-histamine, thereby reducing inflammation and congestion.

Excellent source of powdered Vitamin C. You can mix whatever amount of Vitamin C you want and buffer it with half that amount of Baking Soda with a cup of water which makes a nice fizzy and healthy drink. Haven’t had a cold or flu since beginning this product. Reports suggest that higher doses of Vitamin C help prevent heart attacks. I understand that one half teaspoon of the Vitamin C powder amounts to a strength of 2000 of the vitamin, which is a good starting point to gauge how your body reacts and from there you can adjust it up or down depending on toleration. There is no danger in higher amounts, the body will just expel what it doesn’t need. It is, in my opinion, a very good product.
