Inflammatory Reaction to Natural Flavouring

I've been using the unflavoured lip balm for years and love it but Nutrichem was out of stock so I bought the peach flavoured variety instead. Unfortunately, it caused my lips to become red and inflamed. I don't have an allergy to peaches and there was a delayed reaction (next day) so I didn't make the connection right away. Then I remembered this had happened once before, a few years ago when I first tried the peach flavoured lip balm. It must be the 'natural flavouring' that caused the reaction because the unflavoured lip balm does not do this. Unfortunately, Nutrichem was unable to tell me what the ingredients are in this natural flavouring. It would be nice to know what the offending ingredient is so I can steer clear of it in the future. It took 5 days for my lips to return to normal after I stopped using it.

The natural flavouring used in the peach lip balm is derived from organic sunflower oil, organic vanilla, and organic flavours, but unfortunately the exact blend is proprietary information that our supplier does not disclose. While this flavouring is generally well-tolerated, it's possible that one of the components could trigger a sensitivity or reaction for some individuals.
