Boost your recovery time when faced with a cold. Umcka ColdCare Original Drops have been clinically demonstrated to reduce the duration and severity of cough, congestion, sore throat, and nasal and bronchial irritations. This concentrated liquid is equipped with a dropper for easy dosing. Enjoy it straight or mix it into a beverage – choose the method that suits you best.
The roots of Umcka (Pelargonium sidoides), a geranium family member, have a long history of providing relief for respiratory and digestive issues. These unique roots are allowed to grow for three years before being harvested at their prime. Although there are three hundred species of geranium plants in our harvesting area, only one meets our rigorous criteria for Umcka.
Medicinal Ingredients per 7.5mL:
South African Geranium (Pelargonium sidoids, Root) | 13.33 mg |
Non-medicinal ingredients: Sorbitol solution, purified water, glycerin, citric acid, potassium sorbate, maltodextrin.
Recommended route of administration: Oral
Adults and children 13 years and older: 1.5 ml 3 times/day
Children 6-12: 1 ml 3 times/day
Children 1-5: 0.5 ml 3 times/day
For best results, use at first sign of symptoms and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms cease. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days if condition does not improve.
Caution: If you have a liver disorder, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and/or loss of appetite. If symptoms are severe or are accompanied by high fever and shortness of breath, consult a health care practitioner.
Contra-indications: Use during pregnancy is not recommended due to lack of clinical data.
Known adverse reactions: Some people may experience gastrointestinal discomfort, and in rare cases, some people may experience mild nosebleeds, bleeding gums, hypersensitivity, such as an allergy, has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury have been reported.
