Valerian Complex is a unique combination of Valerian root and rhizome, herb of Passion Flower and Zizyphus seed, useful for promoting sleep.
Valerian is found to provide relief from occasional sleeplessness. It may do this by reducing sleep latency, this means it reduces the time taken to fall asleep. In Europe, Passion Flower is often combined with Valerian for relief from occasional sleeplessness. Zizyphus has been used traditionally in China for relief from occasional sleeplessness, especially when sleep is disturbed by dreaming. Traditional use and clinical trials indicate that Valerian, passion flower and zizyphus promote relaxation, by supporting nervous system health, and may ease the effects of temporary or occasional stress by reducing the body's reactivity to the stress.
Medicinal Ingredients: Each tablet contains:
Zizyphus seed 10:1 extract
from Ziziphus spinosa seed 900 mg
90 mg
Valerian root & rhizome 5:1 extract
from Valeriana officinalis root & rhizome 700 mg
140 mg
Passion Flower herb 5:1 extract
from Passiflora incarnata herb 500 mg
100 mg
Non-medicinal ingredients: Calcium phosphate dibasic, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, cellulose, hypromellose, glucose.
Adults: Take 1 tablet 4 times daily or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Caution: Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist, and prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking other sedatives, CNS depressants, or if you experience severe drowsiness and/or withdrawal symptoms upon abrupt discontinuation following chronic use. Consumption of alcohol, other drugs or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heave machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Discontinue use 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
